Owner Jill Anderson opened Tyneside’s first ethical boutique, ethic boutique, in 2008; after years of dreaming of shopping heaven that looked and felt great...and didn’t arrive in the post (as most ethical fashion did between Edinburgh and York).

Our collection at ethic boutique is ever expanding to offer you the best possible choice, whilst maintaining stocks in small enough quantities to assure you that  you will always find something beautiful, special, unique and exclusive.

Everything is hand picked by Jill to ensure a collection that is beautiful, stylish and fun and that also maintains our buying philosophy; to offer:

  • gorgeous, fashion forward clothes, accessories and pamper products that address a minimum of one pressing issue for the fashion industry today

Including:

  • Eco Concious Production - such as organic farming and use of sustainable materials
  • Ensuring our suppliers are paid a fair price for their expertise and have good working conditions
  • A stylish Vegetarian/Vegan choice
  • No child labour
  • Support for UK labels and local/European production - less miles to travel
